Our Saturdays have become jam-packed with activities!! Our day today started with the annual VEISHEA parade. This was the first year since we have moved back to Ames the weather cooperated enough for us to attend. It was a great parade and brought back many memories for us! The kids loved it and brought home a ton of candy. Owen's favorite was the cannon that kept going off and Ellie liked the floats and balloons.
Next Ellie conquered the soccer field with a whooping 9 goals!! She had a great time on the field today. She had some extra playing time since they were down a teammate. Needless to say, she is one tired kiddo tonight.
Owen loves going to soccer games because he has playmates there as well. He loves the twins (they live across the street from us). There is a playground right next to the fields, so they tackled the slides with one of the older sisters in charge!! Everyone is happy, it is a win win situation. I can actually watch the game:) Poor Travis had to go attack the ER at 3. He is dreading the VEISHEA shift, the weather is beautiful!! Which doesn't help all the drinkers. Plus, three proms are going on tonight.
Connor is a good sport about being lugged around. He was happy for most of the game and parade with some snacks (as evident by his face) and he LOVES balls!!!!
The night ended rather sweetly with Ellie reading Owen Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. They all love this book - even Connor tries to say 'boom boom'.
