2011 Dance Competition season is underway. Ellie worked out all her jitters and had a great time performing!! The look on her little face when she receives her trophys is priceless. Her excitement makes all the running back and forth from dance worth it!! We had an early Saturday morning call for competition, I was a great Mom and let her have a little caffeinated orange pop while I did her hair and make-up.

She and Ava are doing a sweet little duet this year to the song 'Baby Mine'. They received a special judges award for being "sweet and cute". The excitement about this made all the extra duet practice time worth it as well!!
We are getting creative around the house with things to do to fill these long, cold winter days. El has taken to doing her brother's hair and make-up. Yes, tonight I caught Owen willingly having make-up applied to his face. She got into her dance make-up, so he even had foundation on!! It wasn't very noticeable, so I didn't take a picture. But, this little sprout Ellie put in Connor's hair was pretty cute and he was very proud of it!!
We have had plenty of snow to play in. It is great this year because El is old enough for me to bundle her and Owen up to send out on their own. They will play forever outside building forts, sledding, 'snow boarding', eating snow and shoveling.
Dancing to vidoes on the ipad has become a favorite. The ipad has been a family hit!! The kids LOVE it and know how to run it better than me!!
Of course cooking making takes up some time and keeps everyone happy!!
Poor Connor isn't involved in a lot of these activities. But this kid still loves to nap a good 2-3 hours in the afternoon!! He is pretty easy going (when not being tormented by Ellie or Owen) and loves to just sit and play, read or watch a movie.
Box painting was a hit!! Owen had been against painting at school, so one snowy day I decided to have him paint with El, and success!! He now paints!!
My little middle child. He fits this profile very well!! Such a sweet little guy, wanting to please everyone but has quite the stubborn streak when he wants. He is full of energy. He loves his leapster, desperately wants to read like his sister but can be so sneaky about his naughtiness!! But what poor Owen doesn't realize is he has two middle children for parents, so we are on to his shenanigans!!! Don't let those big eyes and eyelashes fool you, he knows exactly what he wants and exactly what he is doing!!!
